HIGURASHI IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME like for real. Currently in the process of rereading and I can't wait to get started on Umineko! Know what happens in it but haven't read the vns barring the first one, hahaha. AND I THINK I ESCAPE POKEMON but no. I never escape. I'm doomed to be excited about training cuddly monsters forever.

i loooooooved the graphics (they were so beautiful!) and really liked the overall setting and what the story was trying to do. it was all just so interesting to me. i've seen and listened to so many people talk badly about it, and while it does have its problems, i really enjoyed it when i watched a playthrough of it. ouo

I speak german and russian (my undergrad majors), and previously studied mandarin chinese (high school) and japanese (just this past semester), and I'm always interested in learning more to any extent that I can. consequently, I love both linguistics and literature. now that I'm out of two literature-heavy courseloads, I'm hoping to branch out and read more, and I'd appreciate any recommendations.

this fall, I'll be starting my one year intensive MAT program to become a german teacher! I'm super passionate about teaching and learning, and I can't wait.

in general, I passionately love cats more than I can adequately express. I love driving, watching films (trying to expand my experience here as well), taking walks, trying new foods and drinks, taking photos. sometimes I cosplay (though I can't sew) and I RP a little. I collect cloth shopping bags (really) and mugs. I may be working on getting a motorcycle license this summer. I'm extremely boring.

fandoms: my ultimate favorite things are Katekyo Hitman REBORN! (manga) and Fullmetal Alchemist (2003 anime primarily), because I just can't let go. beyond that, I've enjoyed InuYasha, Free! (still gotta finish s2), Tsuritama, Yowamushi Pedal (still catching up), Psycho Pass (gotta watch s2, there's a theme here), Yotsuba&!, etc. I'm interested in reading Haikyuu and giving Gangsta another shot sometime soon. also interested in catching up on past seasons of anime... if you have suggestions, let me know!

in non-animanga news, I watched season one of Hannibal recently, so that happened... also, I love Animal Crossing. sometimes I try to play other games, but I have trouble sticking with them. nevertheless, I love Silent Hill. also, I really like music— some favorites include Aesop Rock, the National, Modest Mouse, MCR (really), Gerard Way, Fall Out Boy, Pinback, etc., though I like a lot of other things as well.

... though, actually, I'm not in fandom outside of animanga, and even then, it's not much at all.

edit: somehow I always forget Harry Potter on here, but I fucking love Harry Potter, oh my god.

yeah, the episodes is kind of the sticking point for me, i think? i've always been kind of lazy, probably more so now, so 100+ episode things are....a really daunting thing to try and get through...so i haven't yet....i mean, i've seen a good chunk of the original anime episodes (haven't touched the second newer "season" yet). i had like three dvd boxsets, a sesshomaru plushie, posters, etc. haha.

that's ok!! i think i use twitter the most and am recently trying to use plurk a bit more (i'm never quite sure what to plurk about so i end up not orz) but i hope to become more active gradually!
